Hi Bush Eagles! I am Kara Geller, and this is my 12th year of school nursing, 20 years as a registered nurse. I am blessed to be part of G.W. Bush Elementary and look forward to being your child's nurse. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

With cold and flu season upon us, please see the guidelines for the exclusion of students who have or are suspected of having communicable illness. These regulations are in conformance with the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Centers for Disease Control.

To protect all children from communicable illnesses, the school administrator/principal shall exclude from attendance any child having or suspected of having a communicable condition. Exclusion shall continue until the readmission criteria for the conditions are met, 25 TAC 97.7 (a).

*Fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, or any condition that presents with fever - students will be excluded until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-suppressing medications.
